Hello everyone, this is the Mind of Lilith and thank you for joining me today for Part 2 of my Tupac Shakur chart delineation. For this discussion, I will focus on Tupac’s Mars placement which is at 18deg22’ of Aquarius, which is conjunct his north node and square Jupiter and Neptune. I believe this placement shows us why he was in so much drama the last few years of his short life. As you guys know, Tupac was born on June 16th, 1971 in the Bronx, NY. He’s a Gemini Sun, and Aries Moon

In part one I explained why I believed Tupac had a Capricorn ascendant, which would place the dispositor of Mars in his 1st house of personality, and the physical appearance. A lot of people with Mars in the 1st house, Aries or Scorpio, have dark or heavy eyebrows and eyelashes. Natives with Mars in the angular houses can attract violence, conflict, abuse and danger, and we see lots of evidence of this in Tupac’s chart.

Mars: The Sh*t Starter, war, danger, death, violence, courage, competition

In astrology, Mars represents combativeness, violence, anger, war, sexual assault, weapons, and competition. Aquarius represents friendships, groups, associations, networks, the Collective. Mars in Aquarius can indicate association or affiliation with gangs, the military, or other dangerous organizations; it can also indicate that friends and associates, and even entire organizations can become dangerous enemies due to ego clashes and jealousy.  In November 1994, Tupac was shot in NYC while in the company of so-called friends and business associates. In October 1995, Tupac signed with Death Row records, which was owned and controlled by Suge Knight, an Aries who was a member of the Blood gang. As a result, Tupac became affiliated with the bloods gang, and kind of became an honorary member because of his power, influence, and ability to earn money for Death Row and thus the Bloods. After joining the bloods organization, his life was put in even more danger. In fact, some of the Bloods members had resentment towards Tupac because they felt like he did not put in enough work to warrant the power and respect he was given by the leaders of the gang.

As I discussed in part 1, Tupac inherited the karma of both of his parents, and his Mars in Aquarius is evidence of this. Both of Tupac’s parents were members of the Black Panther Party, a political activist organization that fought to protect the sovereignty of black Americans.  The black panther party was targeted by the CIA, FBI and local police departments, and they were instructed to destroy the movement by any means necessary.

Mars Aspects: Amplification of Power, Force and Energy

Tupac’s Mars in Aquarius formed a trine aspect to his Sun and Mercury in Gemini which rules communication, thinking, and skills. Trine aspects give us opportunities that reflect the energies of the planets, signs, and houses involved. A trine between Mars and Mercury makes someone quick witted with aggressive intelligence and a direct, cutting or incisive way of thinking and speaking. In fact, Mars in any air sign makes someone an excellent communicator; these people know how to get their point across even if it’s harsh or disrespectful, you’ll get the message for sure (unless Mars is tensely aspected by Neptune or Saturn, and in a weak house like the 12th or the 7th). So we see that Tupac’s gift for creative communication benefited him socially and professionally.

Tupac’s Mars is in a square aspect to his Jupiter in Scorpio, which is a tricky placement to navigate. Jupiter in Scorpio makes someone gifted at surviving dangerous or life-threatening situations, surviving deadly accidents, violence, deadly diseases, etc.

The Rapper Lil Boosie has this placement and he’s survived death row imprisonment for seven years, kidney cancer, drug addiction, and other dangerous situations, only to become richer, and more famous in the process. DMX also has this placement and he’s had several near death experiences: he lived on the dark side of drug addiction, violence, criminality and poverty for most of his life. By the way, Jupiter in Scorpio individuals are usually very sexy regardless of how they look because they exude masculine energy and they usually have a very high sex drive that makes them alluring to many women. These natives they’re not afraid of anything, in fact they secretly enjoy the rush of surviving a near death experience due to their philosophical attitude about transformation and death since they’ve lived multiple lifetimes as Scorpios or dealing with dangerous and deadly situations.

Jupiter in Scorpio: Crises Cultivates Wisdom and Power

Jupiter in Scorpio people tend to be daredevils or they attract devilish people to them; these people evolve by facing their mortality throughout their lives; they are also very sexual and some have lots of children. DMX had at least 15 children, and I think Lil Boosie has 8 children with 6 women and he’s not even 40 years old yet.

Tupac may not have been a prolific procreator (I think he has at least 1 child) but he definitely attacted a lot of women and danger.  He was stabbed and shot at multiple times. He also shot a police officer that was brutalizing a citizen. From my observation, individuals with Jupiter in Scorpio are some of the unluckiest lucky people: Jupiter in Scorpio’s luck comes after transformation from crises and painful, difficult, and even dangerous situations. In essence, these natives get their “infinity stones” after surviving very difficult situations and circumstances and transforming throughout the process, sometimes becoming wealthier and more powerful as a result.

This is also what happened to Tupac, after going to jail for sexual assault and getting shot up, he became richer and more famous, even infamous and immortal, as Scorpio also represents death, taxes, insurance and other people’s resources. Tupac is more famous and richer in death than he was when he was alive. Tupac’s Mars is also conjunct with the North Node in Aquarius. I believe that the North Node has a greater amplifying effect than Jupiter, but it is far less stable. We saw this with the expedient rise and fall of Kevin Samuels, Donald Trump, even Kwame Brown, who have personal planets highly aspected to the north node. In fact, Donald Trump has the Sun conjunct the North Node and Uranus which contributes to his grandiose larger than life personality and unexpected meteoric success as a politician. But when personal planets aspect the node nodes, one’s fame, fortunes, reputation, and even their life can be eclipsed just as quickly as we saw with Kevin Samuels whose Sun was 8 degrees away from his North Node in Aries.

Mars Conjunct North Node: Losing One’s Head

So anyway, with Mars conjunct the North Node, this is the foolish warrior, who believes that anger, violence, and brute force are the only ways to win a conflict, for Tupac this energy is supported by his volatile, angry Moon in Aries. These people are not diplomatic, patient, tactical or strategic because with the North Node, there are no guide posts, there’s no experience, just impulse, instinct, and a blind compulsive drive to express the inherent energies of Mars. Having the experience is the goal, regardless of the outcome. The more danger and violence Tupac experienced, the more he was drawn to it, as he was on an evolutionary path to release himself from the individualistic nature of his South Node Leo.

When Tupac joined death row he felt like he was part of a family, a tribe or a network, which aligned with his north node in Aquarius. And with Mars on the North Node here as well, there was an unconscious drive to go to war for the Collective, or for his organization just as his parents were also willing to do as members of the black panther party. He was willing to fight to the death for the members of his crew; in fact the reason why he got shot up in Las Vegas was because he jumped the opps, I think it was Orlando Anderson. This wasn’t a one on one fight, it was a melee.

Mars in Aquarius: Diffused and Scattered Anger

One a side note, Mars enjoys being in Leo which is ruled by the Sun and the Sun is exalted in Aries which governs Mars…there’s a natural synergy between the energy of Mars and Leo. However in Aquarius, Mars loses its power because it’s energy becomes diffused, and it’s no longer about self-preservation, or self-expression, it’s about using one’s energy to benefit others, even if these people are leeches, roaches, parasites and rodents. And that’s who surrounded Tupac in the last few years of his short life, people who had no problem exploiting his talent and his generous protective nature for money and notoriety. I think Suge Knight was using Tupac financially but he also became a mascot for the blood gang. Suge also used him to appear as a more legitimate businessman than he was; he was a bully with psychological problems, which is why he literally destroyed everything he touched.

With Mars in Aquarius, Tupac couldn’t focus on one enemy, he had many powerful enemies. Mars in Aquarius on the North Node is someone who will go to war with the entire world, this is like a religious fundamentalist, or a jihadist (ironically is Jupiter is conjunct Neptune in Sagittarius – Mars Neptune aspects are notorious for religious fundamentalism, fanaticism or dogmatis). So this Mars in Aquarius conjunct the NN placement is a challenge, because the energy of Mars is most effective when it is focused like a bullet or the point of a knife. Martian energy works best through precision, Mars in Leo or Mars in Capricorn uses its energy efficiently to optimize effectiveness and the likelihood of success. This is using a sniper rifle to assassinate an enemy instead of throwing a grenade to blow up a house full of people because your enemy is there among other people. Yes the house is blown up and yes there are enemies, but how can you guarantee that you hit your target.  This was Tupac’s problem, the diffused energy of Aquarius weakened his focus, he attacked the entire Bad boy staff, label, and record crew, instead of finding out who called the hit on him and dealing with them individually.

Mars on the North Node square Jupiter in Scorpio made him a larger than life character but it also made him a lot of secret enemies as Jupiter rules secrecy, the mafia, the occult, things that happen behind the scenes. And unfortunately, his Jupiter was conjunct Diddy’s sun in Scorpio, which I believe gave Diddy the upper hand in their situation because unlike Tupac, Diddy has an exalted Mars in Capricorn square Jupiter in Libra..he’s surgical with his attacks, he’s not messy he goes after his targets efficiently, and it’s not personal, it’s just business for him. He dots his eyes and crosses his T’s to avoid being implicated in anything. Unlike Tupac, who wanted everyone to know that he had a problem with them, he wanted the smoke.

The opposite sign of Aquarius is Leo, the performer, the celebrity, the attention seeker. By showing his anger and bravado, he actually proved himself “worthy” of being in the blood gang, because he hadn’t been officially initiated which made some of the members jealous of him, but by using his talent and his celebrity to instigate more beef, he made the blood gang more popular and thus wealthier, but they didn’t really care about him as a person, they were just using Tupac just like everyone else in his life.

In Closing…

So essentially, Tupacs Mars in Aquarius made him a lot of enemies and I don’t care how strong or talented you are, if you are a loose canon with no emotional control, at some point you are going to make a deadly mistake. Tupac was not a thug at heart, he was humanitarian (side note, back in 2002-2003, Tupac visited me in a dream and he gave me a hug reassuring me that everything was going to be okay, I was going through a lot of trauma at that time so I remember that dream vividly 20 years later.) Unfortunately like his parents, Tupac was willing to fight for a cause greater than himself as we can see with Neptune conjunct Jupiter square Mars, just like his parents were. He became a martyr for a bunch of bums and leeches who were just using him and that’s another reason his death was so tragic.
